Myofascial Release

Fascia is a thin connective tissue running through your body and supporting your organs, bones, and muscles. It absorbs shock and help your muscles move, and as a result it may accumulate trauma, become stiff and inflexible

Unlike traditional massage therapy, myofascial release works specifically on the convective tissue to relieve the tightness. It includes sustained pressure to stretch and lengthen the tissue surrounding the muscle, instead of massaging the muscle.

The movements are light and slow, and sometimes can be held for couple of minutes. For that reason it is a very relaxing treatment.

Myofascial release can be performed as a full body treatment, or it can be incorporated to traditional massage, usually at the beginning of the treatment, as it doesn't use oil.
